Natasha Daniloff
Natasha Daniloff’s paintings focus on the poetry of light and shadow to suggest the memory and
sensations of place and those moments when one state of being slips into another. Her focus is
on the moments when colours shift quickly and edges of light and shadow vibrate with
possibilities. Marks are gestural and she exploits the expressive potential of oils from impasto to
transparent layers to capture the landscape. Light on escarpments, the movement of water and
ever-changing skies and clouds influence her subject matter.
